Eksonic has brought the legendary DIY T2 amplifier to market as a professional commissioned build. This “Kerry Built” version is identical to the Kevin Gilmore T2 DIY version, but with a few tweaks.
The T2 was originally developed in 1994 by Dr. Takeshi Hayashi for Stax and brought to the DIY community by Kevin Gilmore in 2009 with the support of Mjolnir Audio (Spritzer) and the DIY community. The “Kerry Built” version was first developed in 2016 and was received by customers with enthusiasm. It is a miniaturization of this DIY build using mostly SMD technology and many modernized parts. We do, however, retain some of the original transistors that give this remarkable amp its wonderful qualities.
